Why did you make a shrine/tribute to Kijima and Umeda?
It's quite simple - KijimaxUmeda causes me to go *___*. After I went through Hanakimi and gotten to know this pairing, friends bore the brunt of the ultimate fangirl
incoherency. To save them, and perhaps to spare those around me the headaches, this tribute serves as an opportunity for me to get everything off my chest,
and also to write down everything that I feel needs to be said. I don't usually have time to do shrines considering how I jump from fandom to fandom and I generally
get distracted by new stuff, thus, the lack of attention dedicated to half-finished shrines. But as a Kijima x Umeda fan beyond belief, I knew I had to make a tribute
to them or I'll forever stay vocally rabid, and that I have more than enough interest to keep this tribute going, at least until something new catches my
eye (which will happen in a very long time...)
Why did you call this tribute [ Locked Heart ]?
In the beginning, I was to name my tribute 'Secret'. It turns out that there is a Kijima x Umeda fanlisting that also goes by that name so I thought of the
relationship between the two characters, and somehow, the word 'Locked' and 'Heart' kept digging in my brain. ~_~ I guess in a vague way, I feel it pretty
much sums up the thing Ryouichi has going on when it comes to Umeda, and the fact that their little 'secret' would always remain in their hearts... yeah.
Why did you make a tribute to an unimportant pairing?
As far as I can remember, I've been longer a shounen-ai/yaoi fan than a
shoujo fan, so in many ways, Hanakimi can be considered the 'gateway' to the
Shoujo genre for me in the sense that it's the first shoujo manga that I
actually began to care for. Manga like Love Monster or some other crap are
probably what stirred me away from this manga, so I'm glad Hanakimi can change
my opinion of it. Anyway, I understand if people put me into the category of
fangirls who love nothing more than to slash anything hot that moves, but I
assure you it's not that way. I do love Sano and Mizuki - it's just that my love
for RxU is more, because Ryouichi is part of Umeda's own world, and that my
favorite character is in love with that man despite knowing his true nature, and
that it's not outright acceptance of his feelings but neither was there a
full-blown rejection, and all those elements are what intrigued me, and...

And I fully intend to be that way with this site. The last thing I want is for this site to give off the impression of being an 'elitist', which is also
something I rather dislike myself. You can see that in many sections, I mix facts with opinions, something I truly enjoy and I hope visitors feel the same
way. Even though I may not pull it off successfully, I hope at least people sees what I poured into the site.

Akiha/Umeda has more interaction than Kijima/Umeda.
A fact I wouldn't dream of denying. If the seeds for Akiha/Umeda has been planted in the manga to pave way for future canon, then it has my full support!
